Hustle, hustle, hustle! That’s all you seem to hear these days from a plethora of high paced business leaders and entrepreneurs. You have to out work the next guy to succeed. You have to work twelve to fourteen hours a day and barely sleep to win in business. This is the current mantra of our world and the only thing this type of work ethic will eventually achieve is burnout.

I’ve seen it over and over and it’s not the way to sustain your well being in the process of building your business or achieving anything truly meaningful. I’m not saying you shouldn’t work hard, be driven or relentless in your pursuit, I’m saying you need to be mindful of YOU in the process. It’s not a race and the person with the most money and toys doesn’t win. In fact I know people that are very well off financially that are miserable and unfulfilled.

How about instead of hustling you make the choice to unhustle? Call it a day a couple hours earlier to be with your partner, family or friends. Put your computer and phone away and out of sight. Read a book, be in nature, meditate, do yoga, ride a bike, go for a swim. Do anything that directs you to the only thing that truly exists. The present moment.

Go for it. Surrender to the hustle. The ripple effect will pay dividends - Troy.
